About EMI Calculator India
EMI Calculator India is a free online financial planning portal designed specifically for Indian retail consumers, small business owners, and credit card users. Our mission is to democratize complex financial computations by providing accurate, instantaneous, and visually intuitive estimates of monthly installments.
In India, taking a loan is a major milestone—whether buying a dream home in Mumbai, financing a car in Bangalore, or scaling a business in Delhi. We believe every borrower deserves 100% transparency. Our calculator gives you the exact principal and interest split, total interest burden, and a complete amortization schedule in secondary numbering systems (Lakhs and Crores) matching Indian banking practices.
Private by design: The figures you enter are calculated in your browser and are not sent to our servers or stored by us. We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies, subject to your consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Why Use Our Calculator?
- India-Specific Formatting: Currency displays in lakhs and crores (e.g. ₹10,00,000) for a natural, familiar reading experience.
- Tabbed Loan Variants: Dedicated setups for Home, Car, Personal, Business Loans, and Credit Card balance conversions with customizable GST.
- Detailed Amortization: Toggle between Yearly and Monthly tables, print schedules, or download CSV files for Excel planning.
- Optimized for Mobile: Lightweight, lightning-fast loading, and structured for seamless mobile access.
What We Publish
Alongside the calculators, we publish plain-language guides on topics that borrowers in India ask about most: how EMIs are calculated, flat versus reducing interest rates, home loan tax rules, credit scores, prepayment, balance transfers, and how to read a loan's Key Fact Statement. Each guide includes worked examples with real figures so you can see how the numbers behave, and links back to the calculator so you can try your own.
How We Check Our Numbers
- Every EMI, interest and savings figure in our guides is produced by applying the standard reducing-balance formula, and can be reproduced with the calculators on this site.
- Regulatory and tax points are based on publicly available RBI and Income Tax Department rules. Because rules change, we add notes where a figure or section number may differ today and encourage you to confirm with your lender or a qualified professional.
- If you find an error, please tell us through the Contact page. We review reports and correct confirmed mistakes.
What We Are Not
We are not a bank, NBFC, loan broker or registered financial adviser. We do not offer, arrange or recommend specific loans, and nothing on this site is financial, tax or legal advice. Our calculations are indicative: your lender's figures, which depend on its own terms, fees and rounding, are the ones that apply to you.
How This Site Is Funded
EMI Calculator India is free to use. We may show advertisements served by Google AdSense to cover hosting and the cost of maintaining the site. Advertisements are labelled and kept separate from our content, and they do not influence our calculations or what we write. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and how to manage your ad preferences.
Languages
Because borrowers in India speak many languages, the calculator's main labels are available in all 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, plus English. Some translations are marked beta while they are being reviewed. The guides and legal pages are currently in English.
